I met with Candice and Dave on Sunday afternoon at their venue, Silvermist. They are getting married in a few weeks, so I decided that I would give them a little taster of what they can expect from me as their photographer. The wind was a little gusty and it was a bit cold. Hopefully on their wedding day the weather will be great. Here is a selection for you to see.

On Sunday morning I took some more family portraits for my good friends Bridgett, Brent and Mackenzie. You may remember the last pic’s that I took of Mackenzie. She really has grown into such a beautiful little girl. Here is a selection from the shoot.

Last Saturday came and went and the weather stayed on our side. After the rain that hit us the previous weekend, I was relieved to have a bit of sunshine. Eensgezind in Durbanville was the venue for Tamlyn and Grants wedding on the 28th August. Before I go on about what a stunning couple they were, let me tell you a little bit about Ananda, she is the coordinator at this beautiful venue. It struck me right from the start that this young lady knows what she is doing. The venue looked stunning. The food was delicious. It all just gelled. Talking of people knowing what they want, Tamlyn and Grant were incredible to work with. They new exactly what they wanted, we had done a full reckie of the venue and the country side a few weeks earlier. This sorted out a lot of time wastage. I am sure that the photographs will talk for them selves. Here are a few of them for you to enjoy.

The weather has been very good to me this winter when it came to photographing weddings. Last Saturday the clouds opened and the rain came down. It ruined all the fun plans that I had for Candace and Terence. We had been up to their venue at the Steenberg Golf estate; everything was planned and then, down came the rain! We used all of the backup plans, but it wasn’t the same. Emma and her team from Steenberg made up for the wet weather with a scrumptious dinner. Here are a few of their images for you to see.

I am very proud to announce that I received two awards last week at the annual SABIA “Brides Choice Awards” held at the Vineyard Hotel. The first was the Gold award in the photographic section for the Western Cape. A little later in the evening, I received the trophy for the top photographer nationally. Both these awards were proudly shared with my close friend and colleague Mark Engelbrecht. These awards are not the normal type of photographic ones. They are judged for by our clients. At this stage, I would like to say a huge thank you to all of my brides who voted for me. To me, your vote means that I have done my job as your wedding photographer. I look forward to providing the same top quality service for all my brides to be.
