Gavin Withers Photography Blog

Welcome and thank you for visiting my blog!
I am a full-time, professional photographer based in Cape Town, whose passion it is for creating beautiful, stylish, modern photography, capturing the essence and emotions of the day.
Your memories are precious to me and I will ensure that they are captured for you to enjoy for years to come. Regardless of the type of photography you require, I have a very relaxed style and I enjoy making people feel comfortable.

Two hundred rand notes… instead of confetti, lovebirds Theo and Deidre decided to have their congregation use shredded two hundred rand notes to shower over them as they left their ceremony at last weekends wedding. A novel idea I thought. I have been to weddings were the guests have attached money to the couples clothes, but this takes the cake. Over the next five weeks I will be covering four weddings at the beautiful Simondium country manor. This venue is a place that Heather and I have come to love. It is a very homely place. The staff lead by Haneke are so professional. It is a pleasure to photograph functions at this venue. Here are a few of Deidre and Theo’s images. Enjoy.

Hello Gavin. I should have visited your blog before. Some much is a cut-above the standard in wedding photos. I really love the railway line shots you have done. I think the advancing shot of the couple is very symbolic and perfectly done.
