Our second appointment on Saturday was with Candace and Terence, like Sam and Mark they too are getting married at Christ Church Constantia and their reception is at Steenberg. Their date is one week later on the 21st August. This will be my 7th wedding for the Burchell clan. A family, I might add, that I am very fond of as I have got to know them well over the years. Anyway, here are a couple of their images for you.
It seems like it has been forever since I last uploaded a post to this blog. Anyway I can proudly say that the July holidays are over and the new season is upon us. On Saturday Heather and I went for a drive to see our August couples. We did a pre wedding shoot with them. Here are the images from Sam and Mark’s shoot they are getting married on the 14th August at Christ Church Constantia followed by Steenberg Golf estate.
I met Anja and Johann at the wedding of Anneke and Neels about a year ago. We hit it off immediately. They are such a fun couple. They were married on Saturday last week at Christ Church Constantia. Rev Keith Griffiths delivered the sermon. After the ceremony we went through to Westlake golf club. Ada and her catering team did a stunning job in feeding the guests. The party went on until the wee hours as the couple and their guests love to dance. Here are a few of their memorable images for you to see.
Wow! six foot three'ish versus five foot five'ish... this is what I have got to work with on the 8th of August. I am really looking forward to this wedding as Nicole & Creagh have given me a little height challenge. Height difference aside, this wonderful couple are truly in love. They gel so well together. Guys, I hope that the weather stays OK for us on the 8th!
Last week saw Derek and Myself do a shoot for "Gourmet Burgers" in Claremont for their menu. Wow! these burgers are big and juicy. I love taking food photographs as I normally get to have a little taste... Enjoy
The weather doesn't always play along when you are photographing a wedding, this was not the case on Saturday. Ingrid and Jonathan came back to Cape Town to get married from the UK. Although the weather was over cast it did not spoil the day. We started of at Christ Church Constantia were Keith Griffiths delivered a lovely service. After the service we went of to the Mount Nelson Hotel in town. The Mount Nelson as always put on a lavish spread. Gareth, Ingrid's twin brother was the MC and he had us in stitches with his witty charm. Many thanks to Derek who took a day off from photographing his own weddings to work with me a my second camera. This gave Heather a well deserved break.
This year I won five awards at the Sony profoto awards
